Join childcare service operated by the Gannawarra Shire Council in Kerang Victoria.  This role comes with the Department of Education 3 year old funded kindergarten incentive program of up to $38K. The role is for Perm Part-time or Full-time ECT with flexible hours from 24-38hrs p/week.

Each year Gannawarra Shire Council produces the School Transition in Gannawarra guide to assist families with children about to transition to Prep.
Developed in partnership between Council, local schools and organisations offering family services to the Gannawarra community. The Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre is a non-profit childcare service operated by Gannawarra Shire Council for children from birth to school age. The Centre is approved by the Department of Education as a 133-place long day care centre.

The team aim to provide a whole learning environment, where children are free to observe, question, experiment and explore.

As an early childhood teacher, you will be a highly professional and knowledgeable leader responsible for implementing a quality educational program and curriculum in line with approved learning frameworks to support the education and care needs of the children. You will ensure your own practices, and those of others, are consistently performed to a high standard.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a dedicated, positive, and enthusiastic teacher who has strong written and verbal communication skills.  Working in a collaborative team building strong relationships with parents and children and your team. 

A Degree in Early Childhood is essential and hands-on experience is preferred but graduates will also be considered. With our focus on children’s safety, successful candidates will be required to supply a valid up to date Working with Children Check, and a criminal record check will also be required.
